Cargo Monitoring System (CMS) which is
defined by IMO is measuring temperature, level and pressure
of liquid cargo and providing accurate cargo status information.
Reliability and accuracy is the key element of the cargo
monitoring system and CMS must be equipped with all liquid
cargo ships.
Cargo monitoring system must be designed to satisfy intrinsic
safety system requirements and to perform its function
under harsh marine environment.
Cargo monitoring system is designed to control ballast
pump and valve.
Service tank monitoring and load calculation function
is also necessary.
R&D center of General Marine Business Inc. is developing
accurate and reliable cargo monitoring system, which has
a clear distinction from other cargo monitoring system
and provides maximum effectiveness and convenience based
on state of the art PROFIBUS DP and PA technology.
All systems including control computer,
PLC, level gauge and others are integrated with
same PROFIBUS NETWORK. , temperature gauge, pressure
gauge and hardwire.
Control computer and console is located at the cargo
monitoring & control room, providing cargo status
information by real time. User interface is under
developing to understand various physical information.
Cargo monitoring system software is composed of
a modular structure by possibility of expansibility
and maintenance.
Also, our cargo monitoring system can provide various
merits to ship yards and ship owners by reducing
hard wiring work and remote calibration due to network
structure.
